Get involved

Do you have time to spare to volunteer with us?  Here are some of the ways you could help:

  • Volunteer with our Skin Camouflage Service, either with administration or by training as a Skin Camouflage Practitioner
  • Fundraise and promote the work of Changing Faces by taking part in challenge events or raising money through schools, workplace events
  • Help our Advocacy work, particularly if you are interested in working for a charity in the future, or have an interest in or already work in healthcare, especially dermatology, maxillofacial, ENT or plastic surgery
  • If you have personal or family experience of disfigurement you could speak to the media about your experiences in order to promote an informed view of people who have disfigurements and you could join the Changing Faces Community of Users and share personal experience in schools, workplaces, get involved in Face Equality projects, act as a sounding board and inform our work
  • Help out at one of our administration centres in London, Sheffield or Edinburgh.
  • Work Experience:  We do from time to time host work experience opportunities for Secondary School or Higher Education Students.  But please note, we are not able to offer any work experience with the Skin Camouflage Service and we do not offer counselling training placements or any other direct contact with our clients, owing to confidentiality and ethical considerations.

If you are interested in volunteering in any of these ways, please fill out this volunteer application form. And if you have any problems completing the form please email JuliaW@changingfaces.org.uk.
