The Edinburgh Charities Christmas Festival will take place on the weekend of 3-4 December 2016 and there are lots of fun events to get involved in. Run walk or jog 10K, 5K, or take part in the family Tinsel Walk on behalf of Changing Faces. Sign up here or get in touch for more information. Bungee from a crane at the Riverside Museum in Glasgow on Saturday 10 or Sunday 11 December 2016 and raise funds for Changing Faces. All you have to do is raise £75 to help support people with a visible difference in Scotland. Sign up here or get in touch for more information.
Our Christmas Pub Quiz is back! Join us for another evening of festive questions from our favourite quiz master Stephen Taylor, to raise funds for our work across Scotland. The quiz will take place on Thursday 8 December 2016 at DRAM! 232 Woodlands Rd, Glasgow G3 6ND. Entry is £3 per person and teams can have up to 5 people.
We are looking for volunteers to help out at our gift wrapping stalls in shopping centres in December. You would wrap shoppers presents in return for a donation, we would give you some training on how to wrap the presents. We need volunteers on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 December at Livingston Designer Outlet and we are hoping to get some dates booked in for shopping centres in Stirling and Glasgow. On Sunday 2 October six fundraisers took part in the Great Scottish Run in Glasgow. Thank you to Andrew, Debbie and Nikki who all ran 10K and raised £700 between them. Our Scotland and Yorkshire and the Humber managers, Cat and Rob and our Scotland Public Fundraising Officer Katie, took part in the half marathon and managed to raise £1,828.10!
Big thank you to Sainsbury’s at Cameron Toll and all of the volunteers from Argos and Scottish Widows, who helped us raise a fantastic £501.58 at our bag pack on Saturday 1 October.
On Sunday 19 June our Butterfly Afternoon Tea Day in Glasgow and raised a fantastic £1006! The event was hosted by Denise Mina, author of the famous Garnethill trilogy and hand massages were provided by the wonderful Butterfly MediSpa team.
On Sunday 10 July one of our fantastic fundraisers Laura Stevens organised a Ladies Afternoon Tea day in Aberdeen which raised over £600! Well done Laura.
On Sunday 12 June, three of our brave fundraisers descended 165ft from the Forth Rail Bridge and raised over £1300! A huge thank you to Debbie Morgan, Sarah Pocock and Cara Sangster for taking part.
Raising money for Scotland’s children, the Kiltwalk runs events in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Speyside. On Sunday 18 September, Cherrill and Leona walked 26 miles through Edinburgh and raised over £750! We are really grateful for their support.
