Register – finding your confidence: exploring identity and acceptance

This webinar explores confidence, identity, and self-acceptance for people with visible differences through personal stories and expert insights.

Living with a visible difference can often bring up concerns around confidence, identity and acceptance. This webinar will share powerful stories around these themes from people living with a visible difference together with specialist, expert reflections to help you relate these themes to your own life and goals.

We aim to provide you with a sense of connection to people who understand, together with some ideas, inspiration and support to help you build confidence in your own journey moving forward. If you have ever looked in the mirror and not recognised yourself, or found it hard to accept the person you see, this webinar is for you.

Meet the panel

Vikki’s life changed dramatically when she was diagnosed with cancer and had her nose removed and reconstructed. What began as a journey of grief transformed into one of profound self-discovery. She realised her true value lay not in her appearance, but in her character and spirit. Now a beauty pageant finalist, Vikki is redefining what confidence means and showing others that visible difference can coexist with pride and ambition.

Marc acquired burn scarring to his face and hands when he was 14 years old. Over the years, he transformed his pain into purpose, learning to embrace his scars as part of his resilience story. He’s become an inspiring advocate for self-acceptance, teaching others that confidence comes from within, not from appearance.
