Each year, we celebrate Face Equality Week to put visible difference at the forefront of people’s minds. This year, we’re challenging the misconceptions that people have and showing that people with a visible difference are just as capable and talented as any other members of society.
People with a visible difference deserve to be recognised for their talents instead of being judged and underestimated because of the way they look.
Our focus this year is on creativity and all the various forms it takes.
Visible differences don’t define a person. Their interests, skills and personality do. From sewing and baking to dancing and singing, creative outlets can be an amazing way for people to express themselves and grow their confidence. That’s why we’re putting the spotlight on our incredible campaigners, ambassadors and supporters, and calling for better representation of difference in the creative sphere. Let’s see people with visible differences on stage, in magazines and on screen doing what they love.

Nobody should be made to feel limited by their appearance. We all have passions and skills, so let’s embrace them and show the world what we’ve got!
I have often had to prove myself to people with preconceived opinions about my abilities because of the way I look, and I have always proven those people wrong.
