A jam-packed day of training (and fun) with our campaigners

Our latest group of campaigners got to meet in person for the first time for a day of media training, campaign planning and photoshoots.

On Thursday 20th March, we brought the Changing Faces campaigners together for a busy day in London.

After some media training, we held practice interviews to let them put their new skills to the test. They all got stuck in and it was clear how passionate every single person is about raising awareness around visible difference. We can’t wait to see them take on real radio and TV interviews in the future.

Our 21 campaigners are from all walks of life, each with unique experiences, talents and passions to share

We also chatted through our campaign plans for 2025. It’s shaping up to be an amazing year, with lots of powerful campaign moments spread throughout. The input of our campaigners is so important when it comes to deciding what we want to shout about, and how we’re going to do so. They’re a creative bunch, bursting with ideas, so keep your eyes peeled for what’s to come!

The group also had chance to strike a pose, with a photoshoot carried out by photographer Sylvie Pope. No stuffy headshots here! These bright and light photos will be used on our website and social media channels to give a pop of energy to our content.

Of course, we had to finish off the day with a social at the pub. After getting through a non-stop schedule, it was lovely to sit down and get to know the group better.

Each campaigner has their own sparkle to bring to Changing Faces, and we’re really looking forward to working with them during their time on the programme.
