All clients, including children, who attend skin camouflage appointments need to explicitly consent to their skin camouflage consultation. The Skin Camouflage Practitioner will ask the child if they are happy for the appointment to go ahead. If there appears to be any ambivalence or reluctance at any time, the Skin Camouflage Practitioner will stop the appointment
All children aged 5 to 15 years must also have the consent of their parent or guardian (or a health and social care professional involved in their care).

On occasions where a young person does not wish their parent / guardian to know about their skin camouflage appointment, the consent may be obtained from a health or social care professional involved in their care
All adults accompanying a client under 16 years must show appropriate ID to their Skin Camouflage Practitioner in order to verify their identity.
