Our ambition is to create an enlightened society, which fully accepts and values people who have a disfigurement

Changing Faces is the only UK charity dedicated to helping people who have a disfigurement find a way to live the lives they want.

We work with the press and media to improve portrayals of disfigurement in print, online and broadcast media, and are not afraid to stand up and challenge misrepresentation and prejudice. This includes work with broadcasters on titling, offering training to newspaper journalists, and filing complaints to regulators when someone has overstepped the mark. Our Media Guidelines are there to help journalists and broadcasters get it right.
