Changing Faces is looking for primary and secondary schools in England and Scotland to take part in testing special resources in 2019, as part of our Face Equality in Schools project kindly funded by the VTCT Foundation.
We are developing lesson and assembly resources on the theme of recognising and challenging stereotypes of visible difference. We looking for schools to help us to make sure that these resources are as effective as possible.
Our resources are aimed at Year 5/ 6 or P6/ 7 primary pupils and Year 7/ 8 or S1/ 2 PSHE/PSE classes. Schools will be asked to test a pair of linked lessons, an assembly, or both, depending on what works best for them.
The Educational Psychology team at University College London will be carrying out an evaluation of the resources as part of the project. We will be asking some of the schools who have tested
the resources to be part of this evaluation process, but schools that do not want to be involved in this evaluation are still invited to take part in resource testing.
