Our workshops can help you to become more confident

Workshops

Workshops are good opportunity to meet other people in a similar situation and to share and learn from each other, as well as explore some new skills in a warm and friendly environment. Changing Faces Practitioners are there to facilitate the day. These are run in our centres in Sheffield and London.

We run a range of workshops for adults, children, young people and parents throughout the year. These may have a particular theme or be tailored to a particular area or age group.

The workshops focus on

  • having fun and meeting other people
  • sharing experiences with other people and swapping ideas
  • learning to handle other people’s reactions and questions
  • building self-esteem and boosting self-confidence
  • improving and practising communication skills
  • finding ways to talk about looking different
  • exploring attitudes and beliefs
  • building relationships and friendships

There is no set charge for the workshops but if you can afford it we ask for a donation towards the cost. If it is difficult for you to meet the cost of travel or accommodation, please discuss this with a Changing Faces Practitioner.
