Support for children and young people in the North of England

What is the service?

Funded by BBC Children in Need, the service helps support children and young people up to the age of 18, and their families, who are affected by a visible difference – a mark, scar or condition on someone’s face or body affecting their appearance.

Your child may have been born with a birthmark, cleft lip and palate or other condition. Perhaps you are a young person with a mark or scar, a dog bite or cancer, or have developed a condition like facial palsy, vitiligo, or acne.

Our highly qualified Practitioner can provide confidential 1-1 support, advice and information, either in person, by telephone, Zoom, or email. There are also opportunities to attend workshops to share experiences with others in a similar situation.
