People with personal experience of disfigurement are at the heart of what Changing Faces does

Community of Users

Changing Faces is launching a new Community of Users, a group of people who have personal experience of disfigurement, who we want to help and advise the charity to ensure that the work we do is relevant and informed by real experiences.

The Community of Users replaces the previous User Council and Young People’s Council in 2016, and we will be publishing more on their work in due course.

We are looking for children, young people and adults to join our new Community of Users. Would you like to get involved with the charity’s work campaigning for equality, sharing your experiences in the media, taking part in talks to health care professionals, businesses and schools and helping us prepare for our first ever national Face Equality Day in 2017? For more information you can contact our Head of Advocacy, Henrietta Spalding or call 020 7391 9277.

Children & Young People’s Event

We are holding an event for anyone under 25 who lives with a condition, mark or scar that affects their appearance on Saturday 26 November from 11.00 am – 4.00pm in central London. We’ll be running a range of activities including shaping a new schools campaign, having a photo shoot and lots of food and fun – we’d love you to join us.

For more information on either of these opportunities, please email our Head of Advocacy, Henrietta Spalding or call 020 7391 9277.
