The Red Cross Skin Camouflage Service transfers to Changing Faces

I am delighted to welcome the skin camouflage service, our service users and volunteers to their new home with Changing Faces.

The skin camouflage programme was set up in 1975 by the Red Cross and since then it has helped tens of thousands of people with a visible difference grow in confidence and independence. Indeed, many people consider it an essential part of their toolkit for feeling good about their appearance.  I know I certainly did when, as a very self-conscious 18 year old, I was discharged from a burns unit where I had been treated after a serious car fire.

By adding skin camouflage to our range of services we can offer truly comprehensive support to everyone who contacts us.

I've had broken capillaries since I was 30. I'm 52 now. It's very embarrassing. I hate people staring. It's bad and nothing I do covers it. I've spent money I didn't have to cover it
