Training for Schools

Changing Faces offers Continuing Professional Development training days for all educational professionals, particularly SENCOs and staff responsible for inclusion, pastoral care and PSHE & Citizenship.

Our training will allow teachers at your child's school to develop their skills and knowledge when working with a child who has a condition, injury or illness that affects the way they look.

We run one-day courses covers topics such as:

  • beliefs and attitudes around disfigurement

  • assessing and boosing self-esteem and social confidence

  • handling appearance related questions, staring, comments and bullying

In addition we also can run general awareness raising sessions in your child's school.

Alternatively if you would like us to approach your child's school to offer training or an awareness raising session for staff please contact our School Specialist at info@changingfaces.org.uk to discuss this possibility.
