Spread the word about face equality

It’s important to let as many people know about face equality as possible. There are lots of things you can do to spread the word. Here are some simple ways to show your support and help raise awareness:

  • Show your support and spread the message with every email you send. Simply put the following sentence at the end of all your emails: Have you heard about the face equality campaign, go to www.changingfaces.org.uk to find out more.
  • Spreading the word about the campaign is simple. Just mention it when you’re at the hairdressers, taking a taxi or even at dinner party.
  • Download our leaflet and pass it on to someone you know
  • Ask someone at your local library, community group or sports club to show their support by displaying our leaflets and posters. Contact Changing Faces on 0845 4500 275 to order your copies.
  • Become fan on our Changing Faces FaceBook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Changing-Faces/11711946230
  • Ask your favourite magazine or newspaper if they would donate free advertising space for our adverts
  • Support us at work, by getting as many people as you can to “lend their face” on our website
  • If you know someone in the media, ask them to sign up to our voluntary code of practice to ensure factual and unbiased reporting of people with disfigurements
  • Make sure that your child’s school knows about Changing Faces and get them to contact us to find out more about what they can do to sign up to face equality.
  • Make sure your employer knows about Changing Faces and get them to contact us to find out more about what they can do to sign up to face equality.
  • Take our posters and leaflets to your local GP surgery or hospital and ask them to display our posters and leaflets
  • And if you have a disfigurement, you could help us enormously by becoming a media volunteer and sharing your story about living with a disfigurement.

I feel that this organization is absolutely spectacular. It really needs to come to Canada and the U.S. I really learnt about myself during the survey too. I felt so bad about myself that I couldn't even finish it.
