Media coverage and reception of disfigurement on television by Dr Claire Wardle and Dr Tammy Boyce.

This research from Cardiff University, published in March 2009, examines the role of television in representing disfigurement and considers how representations might be improved.  The project was funded by the Healing Foundation and the Wales Office of Research and Development.

Dr Wardle presented her findings to 70 broadcasters and members of the public at a panel discussion co-hosted by Changing Faces and The Society Guardian on 30 March 2009.
