Informing, advising and training
health care professionals

“It’s not just about surgery”

Changing Faces has worked with health and social care professionals for the last 18 years. Together, we can help to improve services for patients with disfiguring conditions. The responsibility of health professionals, managers and policy makers at all levels should be to develop appropriate services to prevent and/or treat potential psychological and social problems. Professional education and training courses should reflect this too.

We recognise that financial constraints affect all health and social care decisions but with ingenuity and a commitment to accepting that recognising and responding to psycho-social needs is a shared responsibility, psycho-social concerns can be tackled effectively – and cost-effectively.

The sections to the left will explain more, but if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to get in touch with a member of the health team on 0845 4500 275.
